Kerry's Toting Around A Syringe

We literally know nothing about Kerry.  Well, she works.  She avoids intimate moments with Jack.  Uh, she totes around a mysterious syringe in her purse, and it's in a sealed bag.  Any predictions about that?  I've got a couple of thoughts.  Some might be out there. 

Maybe it's a work-related syringe for that "Jack of Hearts" cologne she developed?

Maybe she's secretly trying to kill Jack like some of his other crazy girlfriends from the past?

Maybe she's diabetic and needs to give herself a shot?

Maybe she's transgender and needs to inject herself with hormones?  I really don't know how all of that works.  But I think it's suspicious how she conveniently disappears whenever the kissing is about to turn into something more.  What doesn't she want him to see or know about?

She's so strange.  No telling if the syringe is for her or for Jack!  My guess is she's transgender, but it could be any of your ideas!
