I thought pretty much the same thing.  I thought, "Wow, people go all out like that for a 1-year anniversary?"  (Fancy outfits and decorations.)  Must be nice.  I thought it would've been more daring on Mariah's part if she had entertained by singing since we usually hear Tessa singing.  I guess the poem was heartfelt, but the bad rhymes kind of drove me nuts.
