I've seen evening shows deal with these issues, but I don't remember seeing anything on the couple of soaps that I watch. A couple of shows in the evening have gone on and on about covid so much that I stopped watching.

Days introduced a new character, Paulina (Jackee Harry). There was a hot piece of property in the town square that Gabi wanted, then somehow Kate got the city to rescind the lease. Now Paulina says the property should go to her since the town square could stand to have some more black-owned businesses.
This Is Us has incorporated both into their storylines. You often see characters wearing masks since Covid exists. Randall and Kevin just had a long-awaited conversation about what it was like for Randall to grow up as an adopted black child in a white family.

This Is Us has done a good job. Grey's Anatomy has pounded us all year with the misery of covid, so I don't watch any more.
