From the October 1, 2018 issue of CBS Soaps In Depth (p. 10):
Victor's Brother Recast!
It looks like Y&R's Victor is gonna get some brotherly love--or not--when Richard Gleason takes over the role of Matt Miller (played previously by Robert Parucha) on Thursday, September 20, for a four-episode arc. "I really liked the character," the guest star raves to In Depth. "There is a wonderful ambivalence to Matt that allows him to be a few different things."
The actor adds that while on the surface, Matt seems to be willing to help his brother, "there are hints for me in the dialogue that perhaps he has more of an agenda. I presented him as a character who seems extremely affable on the [surface], but he's a lot more clever than he makes out!"
Y&R isn't Gleason's first spin through daytime. "My first gig on a soap was on OLTL," he reveals. "I cut my teeth in New York. I played a photographer, and I had one line to say, which was a huge deal for me! I also did a stint on AMC, so I have a fondness for daytime dramas!"
As for the future, Gleason believes there might be just enough unresolved family issues to warrant an encore appearance. "There was clearly a lot of tension between Matt and Victor," he smiles. "I have a hunch that the show runners are dangling things that may be picked up in the future."

According to Soap Opera Digest, Y&R has cast Noemi Gonzalez in the role of Rey’s estranged wife, Mia. She's supposed to first air on Nov. 12th. (Just a heads-up that there are several pop-up ads at that link.)

From the April 1, 2019 issue of CBS Soaps In Depth (pp. 8-9):
Ashley's Surprise Homecoming!
The Abbott house gets two visitors this month when Eileen Davidson (Ashley) joins Y&R sister Beth Maitland (Traci) for a brief visit to Genoa City!
Davidson tells Soaps In Depth that she wasn't surprised to get the call from the soap inviting her back for two episodes. "When I left in September, I let everyone know that I would be open to coming back for a visit," she explains. "Luckily, I was available for the dates they wanted to book me. I was happy Y&R took me up on my offer and had Ashley come back for a quick visit!"
As Y&R fans know, Ashley and Jack were on the outs when the beauty swept out of town triumphantly with all the patents to the Jabot products she'd created and plans to launch her own cosmetics company in Paris. Will Ashley and Jack mend their relationship now? "When Ashley left, she and Jack had some unfinished business, which will be addressed during her visit," teases the Emmy winner. "It's always great working with Peter [Bergman, Jack], and I think the fans will really enjoy our scenes. Ashley has been building a new life for herself in Paris, and her family may be surprised to learn what she's up to!"
"My visit was a lot of fun and went by very fast," she adds. "I had a great time catching up with people I haven't seen since I left, like our crew and the Abbotts. It's been six months, but it's a great feeling to be able to jump right into Ashley's shoes and pick up where I left off."
Fans will be glad to know that Davidson hasn't ruled out future returns, either. "All I can say," she teases, "is Jackie shouldn't get too comfortable, because you never know when Ashley may pay him a visit!"
Maitland kicks off a multi-episode arc beginning Monday, March 25, with Davidson scheduled to air on Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1.
