(February 2009)

Thank you to Rose... this month's guest columnist!

Cupid Has Gone Missing!

Someone better pick up the phone and call Paul Williams because Cupid has gone missing in Genoa City!  Wasn’t that the worst Valentine’s week ever in Genoa City?!

Did billionaire Victor Newman fill The Colonnade Room with candlelight and roses for his beloved Ashley?  No, he’s too busy trying to stab her brother in the back!

Glo is really a woman who understands how to have a good time with her man.  We can only hope she found a little fun with her guard at the jail.

Nicholas loves two women, and they were both losers this Valentine's Day.  It doesn’t look like either one is getting much love or anything else from Nicholas since he’s in a male state of confusion.

Now ditzy Esther actually has a romance going, but wouldn’t you think even Esther would notice the guy is a little old to be talking about Mommy Dearest all the time?

The Fab Four of Amber, Daniel, Jana, and Kevin are just nutty and nice enough to believe in Mrs. C, but when have you seen any of them have a truly steamy love scene?  When we do see Amber and Daniel together, they act like they have a timer going.  It’s wham, bam, thank you ma’am.  Amber has more chemistry in her I-love-you scenes with Mrs. C than she does with Daniel.  As for Jana and Kevin, oh well, nothing says Happy Valentine’s Day like DNA strands on a cupcake.

Speaking of Mrs. C, Murphy and Katherine seem like the proverbial match made in heaven and by an overwhelming vote were named the February sweethearts on The Colonnade Calendar.  The senior citizens were our best hope for sweet love, and then Katherine went and got herself kidnapped.

Billy is handsome, sexy and smart and gave Lily the Valentine's Day shocker of all time.  He said, “Roses are red.  Violets are blue.  I’m having a baby, but not with you.”  Those Abbott men really know how to kill the romance.

Basically our hopes for sweet romance heating up to hot sex rest with Noah and Eden.  When Paul finds Cupid, I say aim Cupid and his arrows directly at Noah and Eden.  Let them set Genoa City on fire with young love!
