From the September 20, 2011 issue of Soap Opera Digest (p. 14): Genevieve Traps ColinWhen Jill announces that she can't go on an upcoming marketing tour for Jabot because of a sick Delia, it's decided that Genevieve will take her place. "Genevieve has been thinking of a way to break up Colin and Jill for some time now," shares Co-head Writer Scott Hamner. "The timing of implementing this is really precipitated by this sudden need for her to go on the business trip."
Genevieve then summons Colin to her mansion. "Genevieve deceptively offers a truce, which she suggests they toast to," says Hamner. "So she sends him down to the wine cellar, where he is then locked up. Once she knows he's not going anywhere, she leaves for her business trip."
Meanwhile, Jill is waiting for a romantic dinner with Colin. "There's a flower delivery to Jill with a note taunting that Colin will always return to Genevieve," Hamner chuckles. "Jill is infuriated. Genevieve has also stolen Colin's phone, so she texts Jill that they are having a lovely time. It really seems that Genevieve and Colin left town together."
