Favorite flowers to plant in the summer?

I love geraniums, mums, hosta's, salvia, begonia's and merigolds.  I love take planters and fill them full of whatever I can find that looks pretty and colorful.  This year I dont have to worry about the whole front yard, just a patio, planters for it.

I'll just enjoy looking at other people's flowers.  I seriously can't keep plants alive for longer than a day.  I guess I'm talented at killing plants.   Grin

I love Martha Washington geraniums!  Some years I try to do a red, white and blue theme.  It's hard to find much true blue, but I fill in with purples, too.  There is a famous all-white garden in England that I admired in a magazine one year, so I tried a lot of white in one area.  It didn't look anything like in the magazine tho!  I think you need a lot of beautiful green foliage if you only use one color.
