Comments From The Peanut Gallery (February 2013) Thank you to Rose... this month's guest columnist!
Valentine’s Day In Genoa City, 2013 What A RIP!!! It’s pretty bad when my own Valentine dinner at home was more romantic, more fun, and infinitely more delicious than anything I saw on Y&R.
So-called sizzling Valentine conversation on Y&R included:
1. Phyllis telling Summer, “Jamie Vernon tried to kill himself yesterday.”
2. Lily asking Cane about their date, “Will Chelsea still be at your table?”
3. Chelsea to Chloe, “I think I’m coming down with a stomach bug.”
4. Neil to Leslie, “I’m a cliché, aren’t I?”
5. Neil to Leslie, “It’s Sophia. This might be about my kid, Moses.”
6. Glo sneezed in Chelsea’s room and said, “Has she infected me?”
7. Jack described Victor and Nikki as, “two souls who might well have beat each other senseless over the years.”
8. Tyler said, “Car’s dead.” Lily replied, “Good luck finding a cab at this time of night.”
9. Summer told Phyllis, “I’ve seen my mother’s love life.”
10. Nikki told Jack, “I’ve got MS.”
Really?! This was Valentine Day conversation? And yes, there was a blizzard, but you know what? It’s winter all over the country on Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s attire? Well, Phyllis was dressed like a nun! Nikki and Chelsea were sick and looked like he!!. The most glamorous woman on the show was Gloria, and she had no man.
Perhaps they should have filmed Y&R at my house which had flowers, candlelight, candy, steak dinner, and glorious chocolate-covered strawberries! Valentine’s Day in Genoa City sucked! What a RIP! May Valentine’s Day, Genoa City, 2013, Rest In Peace!Feel free to post your reactions to "Comments From The Peanut Gallery" on our message board.
